HrishK's 2023 Top Thirty (WIP, #30-6 REVEALED)

YOO WASSUP Ok so now what? I guess I am here now! This is gonna be a wild ride I guess. I will show you my favorite songs of 2023!!! Okay, so 2023, much like 2022, holds a variety of shit music and radio keeps overplaying the same songs over and over again. I haven't been really interested in getting AT40 posts out exactly for that reason, but other posts, like this one, I am truly motivated to. Anyway, this best list is going a different direction, because here I will be listing the best songs according to me, and there is no boundaries for this one, no restrictions. Entirely because radio is shit now. Well, the only limitation is that it should be during the years of last 2 months of 2022 to these new 2 months of 2023, unless TikTok. Okay so... I haven't really gotten the time to talk about these anyway, but let's just say that all of these songs are great and you should check them out when you get the time. Also, I was planning to put I'm Good (Blue) by David Guetta and Bebe Rexha on my top 30 or HMs, but it kinda faded on me a bit, but I still find it pretty enjoyable. That's why it's not on here. ANYWAY LET'S BEGIN!

THE TOP THIRTY:

Okay so I haven't really talked about this artist before on my blog, but I have made many references to them in the Discord server. Anyway, to kick off the run, we have...

#30. Lil Uzi Vert - Suicide Doors

Okay... if you are reading this, you can definitely tell that this is a wild choice for a best list, and I can explain why this song is here. Earlier in the year, Lil Uzi Vert released their latest album, Pink Tape, and I didn't love majority of the songs on it. Some of the songs off this album are just insanely forgettable and just plain mediocrity or even some overproduced shit. This song, Suicide Doors, is one of the only exceptions off the mid album. And I could tell, because this is just a banger all around. Some people may see this as overproduced and nothing what Uzi would do, but I think they nailed the production here, it's honestly better than the other productions, if I'm being honest. Mostly because the melody that runs around is really cool. And while Uzi's rapping definitely has some questioning (depends on the music taste you have) I think they did really well here. This song is also a diss track apparently, Uzi disses someone named Charleston White for not accepting who they are, and what they make. Anyway, nothing much else to talk about this song, moving on...!

#29. Jonas Brothers - Waffle House

So the Jonas Brothers came a long way with their music, and I have liked a majority of their styles, haven't really grown tired of them either. Here they are with their latest BOP known as Waffle House, which is where our local blogger lives apparently, although I do not want to go there, as our local blogger might hop from the vents and snatch me. :smerk: Anyway, about the song. The Jonas Brothers actually mention the restaurant in the chorus itself, but they don't sing about how good the restaurant is, instead this is a song about relieving from stress and not drowning yourself into too much work, and there are some really cool likes like "Headstrong father and a determined mother, oh that's why some nights we tried to kill each other." Great line right there. The production to the song might sound pretty minimalistic, but Nick, Kevin, and Joe all sound great throughout, and the pianos and the drums just complement their voices really well. Overall, really great song. What's next?

#28. Our Last Night/Masked Wolf/Sam Tinnesz - Karma

Okay so, this is not Masked Wolf's only appearance, he will appear on my best list quite a few times throughout. And for good reason too, because he is just insane. And by insane I mean just a great rapper with great flow. But let me run down the artists and the song here. Our Last Night is a trio who makes rock versions of already hit songs, with their biggest rock remix as Astronaut In The Ocean, and this here, is actually their own song, with the greatest Masked Wolf, and the producer Sam Tinnesz, who has had some hit songs of his own, such as Play With Fire featuring Yacht Money. Pair all these three or five) together, and you get this song, which is an absolute BANGER. The production just slaps really hard here, and, much like Suicide Doors, it depends on the person you are if you were to really like this song. Our Last Night sounds great in the verses and the chorus, Masked Wolf slays in the 2nd verse and the bridge, and Sam Tinnesz did a great job at some production. Overall, pretty great song also. Let's keep rollin'.

#27. Diddy/The Weeknd/French Montana/21 Savage - Another One Of Me

Oh, The Weeknd, I could not forget you are your three hits that you have on my best list here. Oh, and 21 Savage also, who has FIVE songs on here somehow, which he is featured on. It's been a while since I have heard from P. Diddy, he has been referenced in many rap lyrics from Eminem and others. I also haven't heard much from French Montana either, after his song Fenty with NAV last year, which was a bubbling under track on my chart but didn't make it in. Here though, all four of them team up, and you get a really dark and lush song. The Weeknd takes in the chorus, and his vocal range throughout it is just fantastic here. He also gets the first verse, which he also sounds great on. The second verse is controlled by French Montana, and while he isn't the best rapper in any means, he does a solid job here, although the song would still be okay without him in it. The third verse comes in with the flow of 21 Savage, who I have been very impressed with lately, his rapping has brought me into his stuff recently. I like his voice here, and the flow is also pretty great too. In the final chorus however, The Weeknd sounds a lot better, with his vocal range going higher, which is great. And then finally, P. Diddy slides in with the outro, which just sounds cool as hell. The production here is pretty slow, and reminds me of Creepin', which will appear here somewhere, just you need to find it, and I love that song too. Anyway, this is such an awesome song, check it out if you have the time. Also, it is notable that this is The Weeknd's final collaboration ever, as he will be making solo music from now on. Wow that was a lot to pack in here. But are we done with 21 Savage? Of course not! We are just getting started with him.

#26. Tiesto/BIA/21 Savage - BOTH

Tiesto
the rapper has been making many bangers recently, as he just put out his album DRIVE just recently, containing classics like The Business, Don't Be Shy, and The Motto, while also having some recent bangers like 10:35. This song was released after DRIVE, however, and could lead to the next lead single off Tiesto's next album. And I am absolutely hyped for that, as this song is such a bop. According to Genius, apparently Tiesto is actually rapping in the song, he gets the chorus and he just sounds awesome here. I was actually surprised when I heard that, and I am sure Hippo is very happy also. Rapper BIA joins in with the first verse, and I haven't really heard much stuff from her, other than like WHOLE LOTTA MONEY, which is remixed by Nicki Minaj. She sounds really good here, has some good flow too. And I said I'm not done with 21 Savage, he surprisingly sounds great here in his verse, I didn't really know 21 Savage and a house beat could work well like this. Oh, and speaking of the house beat, Tiesto just created another beat which absolutely slapped in every way. Hopefully he could still continue this road, in which he will still create bangers in. Love this song. NEXT!

#25. Tiesto/Tate McRae - 10:35

Okay, you thought I was done with Tiesto? HA! I fooled you! I briefly mentioned this song over there when talking about DRIVE, and, well, this is that song from DRIVE that I told you about. And yet, just like BOTH, Tiesto nailed the production here. It's house, just like the last song, and I believe the production here slaps harder than in BOTH. And I could not forget Tate McRae also, who also has a pretty unique voice here. I wasn't introduced to Tate in the best way, but the way she has grown with her music just excites me now. And this collab happened, so yeah. I have had this stuck in my head a while now back then, and when it got onto radio, it was just even more enjoyable all around. Oh, and don't forget those times that I have listened to this song at the time itself LMAO. anyway, Awesome song. Sadly, we are now done with Tiesto. But we aren't done with EDM yet. You will find out later. But anyway...

#24. Dream/Yung Gravy - Everest

Okay, you may have seen my review on to whoever wants to hear by Minecraft youtuber Dream, who actually has three songs appearing on this list. This one was one of the two singles, like Until I End Up Dead, released before the EP itself. And, I have really liked Dream's discography so far, and he didn't disappoint with any song yet, and all have been pretty amazing in different ways. So, let's see in which way this song is amazing? Okay! Starting off with the production preformed by Y2K, the production sounds identical to Minecraft note blocks, which is a unique choice for a production, and it's pretty catchy too. Dream's first verse and the bridge in the song are really cool, he goes energetic in the chorus. Yung Gravy also is appeared in here, with his second verse with a different type of beat here, which reminds me of Roadtrip a little, I like his verse here too. Anyway, cool song, gotta save up some hype for some other songs.

Okay, time for the road of MASKED WOLF GREATNESS.

#23. Masked Wolf - Never The Same

You, yes you, in the discord server, definitely have seen me storming a lot with my stanning of Masked Wolf and how I really like all his songs that he has released. I get it, Astronaut In The Ocean is his only hit, and that was a BOP, BANGER, a word that means better than great for that song. And, he is still working hard in the studio, creating more energetic rap bangers, like this song, Never The Same. I really like how the beat is eerie here, it's really cool, and Masked Wolf's flows switching throughout the entire song, much like how the beat switches up a lot, just give the vibe that it's a Masked Wolf song, that's the rapper he is, and I love his music for that reason, he's just so good at rapping. The second verse clearly shows that, and I... I just really like this song and Masked Wolf a lot! Anyway, amazing song! Let's keep rolling into more Masked Wolf

#22. Masked Wolf - Guidelines

More Masked Wolf! Told you I am not done with him yet. If you have listened to Never The Same while reading the review, you can definitely tell that Guidelines sounds a lot different from it, because of the string bass production mixed in with the trap elements. The string bass just sounds so awesome here, it was such a catchy tune to listen to, I could not get that melody out of my head. Much like I said in my Never The Same review, Masked Wolf just has so much switching up flows here, and the beat just matches his flow, his vibe, just everything Masked Wolf into this song. He truly is a unique and amazing rapper, the Australian Eminem

#21. Lil Durk/J. Cole - All My Life

Ah, this song, one of the only mainstream rap songs that have made it to the top ten on Mediabase, which was honestly such a miracle to see, and congrats to Lil Durk and J. Cole for achieving that, especially with this song All My Life, which is an amazing song, and it's not your true traditional rap song either. First off, the production, it's piano-driven, and I like how pianos sound, and the trap beat sounds really cool here. I really like how Durkio and Cole's verses sound with these pianos attached to their voice. The chorus contains a choir of kids, along the mixing of Lil Durk's voice. J. Cole's verse is also really cool, I have liked him for a long time, and he still has the spark. A really cool combination of voices into one song, I really like how everything in this song blends in so well, and a really catchy tune too. I'm surprised this went recurrent instead of flopped.

It's time for... METRO BOOMIN RAMPAGE PART 1:

#20. Metro Boomin/21 Savage/Mustafa - Walk Em Down (Don't Kill Civilians)

This song off HEROES & VILLAINS is BY FAR the most underrated track, with only 70 million streams compared to popular tracks off the album, like Creepin', Superhero, and Too Many Nights. The song is also a little over 5 minutes long, which isn't always a good thing, but here, Metro Boomin utilizes the length of the song really well, as it keeps me entertained every time I hear both parts of the song. Now, I wasn't originally sold completely with the song came out for the first time, but after a couple listens, it grew on me a lot, and hence it appeared here. So how did this go from just good to really amazing? Well first off, the production just slaps throughout the first half. 21 Savage does his 21 Savage thing, which is always great, I really like how the beat and 21 Savage complements one another, and the first part of the song just slaps as a whole. Metro then incorporates a beat switch a little over halfway through the song, and it's a surprising one at that too. It's more slower than 21's part, and this new singer, Mustafa, sounds a lot like Bakar on Hell N Back. He has a unique voice layered over the slow piano production at the start, which evolves throughout the song, which I just found great. This was the part that I wasn't sold with at the start, but it grew on me. I just really love how all of these elements of this song just came together to create such a great rap song that is insanely underrated in the album. Go check it out. Next we have one frequent collaborator on HEROES & VILLAINS...

#19. Travis Scott/Drake - MELTDOWN

SICKO MODE was such a banger when it came out, I could not stop listening to the song, it just slapped so hard, everything about the song just made it stand out to the listeners, the flows between Travis and Drake were just outstanding, just an awesome, bouncy, rap, super fun song overall. In 2023, Travis put out his highly anticipated album UTOPIA to the public, and it got some good reviews, with this collab with Drake standing out the most from the project. And what do you know, it has a really similar formula to SICKO MODE, the beat just slaps all kind of ass, and all the parts of the song just go so well together... except that part one of the song is actually longer in lyricism than part one of SICKO MODE, and Drake does really well there. The first of two beat switches go through, Travis then takes it away with his show, he just absolutely delivers here, just like always. He barely has a bad song off his record. The third part could be said the same for, except its more up-tempo than the second part, and yeah, Travis slays. This song is one fine piece of art. I like it. Good stuff for a SICKO MODE part 2. ONWARDS!

#18. Oliver Tree/southstar/Robin Schulz - Miss You

Time to flex on those haters. AND I NEVER WANNA SEE YOU AND I NEVER WANNA MISS YOU AGAINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN. I need to explain myself with this song and I need to explain why I like it, despite all the controversies surrounding it. Okay, so first off, the song Jerk by Oliver Tree was originally remixed by southstar, then one month later Robin Schulz took southstar's remix and just tweaked it a bit without giving any credit. This surrounded controversies between both DJs, and while the controversies don't exist anymore, southstar is on the right here. But, I have only enjoyed Robin Schulz's version of that song, which is honestly shocking to even me. I have never really liked Oliver Tree's voice, and especially in this song, his voice is sped up here and engulfed in autotune, but it is so catchy and reminded me of Roses by SAINt jHN and Imabnek, and I loved that song. I also really dig southstar's production in the song. It is incredibly catchy, and I could not get it out of my head in the starting of the year. Overall, solid EDM banger. There's more EDM on the way, just wait. Oh wait, don't. Here's some EDM now.

#17. TheFatRat & Kinnie Lane - Hunger

Okay, some of you in the Discord server have seen me bitching about this song for a while now, and I have gotten Zestpond to hear it a couple of times too, and I have long wanted to write a full-on review of this song, and I finally get to do it now, on my best list. So this is TheFatRat, an EDM DJ whom you may have heard of before. He has many hits under his belt, like Unity, Monody, and Fly Away, which some of you have listened to before, and they are absolute bangers. If I had a Crownnote chart back then, those songs would've hit #1 at some point, plus some others. Here we are with one of his song that theoretically hit #1 on my chart. It is a team up with uncredited vocalist Kinnie Lane who I have not heard of before, but hearing through the song, I think she has a unique voice, and I like how she could go very high in some parts of the song. TheFatRat's production to the song is... interesting, in a really good way. I really like the violins as it builds up, and the drop in the chorus... let's just say if you are who you are, you may or may not like it, but personally, I love the drop here, it just gives the feeling of an adventure. Also the outro symbolizes "running" which is also pretty cool, I have had this stuck in my head for a while when it came out, and for good reason too. Overall, amazing EDM song with an interesting drop. Go check it out!

#16. Dream - Kind Of Love

You can probably tell where I am going with this song, as this song is a fucking masterpiece. First off, the production. I have no idea what Andrew Goldstein did in the production, but it literally sounds absolutely beautiful. The strings just sound too good, I simply cannot dislike any of this. Even if some dude like Kodak Black sung over this song, the production would still shine his voice. but anyway, let's dive into how Dream killed it here. He has the perfect voice to match the production, he sounds really mellow, and he sounds like he really cares a lot. Well, that is the case, because this song is about Dream's older sister who he loved a lot back in his childhood, now they both grew apart, and Dream simply cannot forget her. Dream's chorus just sounds really wholesome, and the post-chorus, I simply love how he sings that, it just sounds too beautiful. The second verse follows, which is also so good, the line "For the ones that need to see, I still love you endlessly, you don't ever have to doubt it" That just almost made my cry, literally, I couldn't stress how good this song was, until the production starts to build up in the second chorus, and Dream just kills it there. He just sounds awesome, and the production has built up so much it is even more likeable now, and the second post-chorus... That literally broke me to pieces. I could not stress how much effort and emotion was put into this song. Oh, and you thought I was done? I have to talk about the music video for this song. It is literally like greater than wholesome. Dream put many clips from his childhood with him loving his older sister a lot, and them having so much fun together. You can watch the music video here. I wouldn't love the song as much as I do if the music video didn't exist. I literally want to cry if I see it again. It literally reminds me that I might have to leave my family soon, and I will still care about them and visit them whenever I want to. But it's here at #16 for that very reason. (also yes i pulled a waffle and ctrl c ctrl v'd the stuff you know pretty kewl technique)

#15. Taylor Swift - Anti-Hero

Okay, I don't really have much to say about this one than that this is just a damn good Taylor Swift song. So, October last year Taylor put out her record-breaking album Midnights, which some of the songs off the album I really liked, and this one is my favorite off the album. I really like the production behind the song, it sounds really nice, and Taylor does have the best voice to pull off a song like this. I also really like the structure of the lyrics throughout the song. One more thing to say, Taylor is not an anti-hero. She is a hero. I also really liked her other songs Lavender Haze and Karma (without Ice Spice, of course), but this one just vibed so well with me. Really awesome song. next!

#14. Masked Wolf - Butterflies & Bandaids

And here we are, at the final Masked Wolf song that you will witness during this run down the best hits of the year. And, to say that this is the best one out of them all, clearly shocks me a lot. For a while now, I thought Guidelines and probably even Never The Same were better than this, but it was now that I realized that both of those songs didn't quite have the same charm than this one did. And I am pretty happy and surprised by that. Okay, so first off, the production has a really nice melody going throughout the song, couldn't get it out of my head. I also really like the semi-trap beat layered over the melody, and since I really like trap beats, I knew that this would be such a great song. And just like what I said in Masked Wolf's other songs that I revealed here, Karma, Never The Same, and Guidelines, he has really great flow switching throughout the verses, just makes this song incredibly catchy. Also, the chorus he sings pretty well here too, I really like some of the lines from the song as well, just makes the song pretty surreal to me, as I have been dealing with stress from time to time here as well, I could definitely relate to this song. The remix with EDM duo VIZE somehow has more streams than the original, I don't know how, but I guess that's okay too. Overall, just an amazing Masked Wolf song. Well, Masked Wolf will not appear anymore on the best list, let's just keep the hits rolling!

#13. Metro Boomin/Swae Lee/Lil Wayne/Offset - Annihilate

Now this is an awesome collaboration of four people that have been making bangers for a long time now, and it seems like they make a banger all together, hence it make the list for that reason. Note that this is the final collaboration of four people on one song that I will list out here. Anyway, let's get to the song. This song is from the soundtrack to Spiderman: Across The Spiderverse, where the previous installment summoned hits like Sunflower, and this time around we got the mediocrity known as Mona Lisa by Dominic Fike, which made to radio for some reason instead of this, oh and also Calling, which was great but not great enough to make this list. This song on the other hand deserved a lot more attention than all the other songs from the album combined, due to how epic the song is. First of all, Metro Boomin's production absolutely slaps here more than the other songs combined, Swae Lee delivers an insanely catchy hook and third verse, Lil Wayne doesn't sound half as bad either, in fact he sounded quite great here, and Offset carried all the verses because he's Offset, he always carries the songs, even in ZEZE with Kodak Black and Travis Scott, he carried the song. I'm also glad I chose this song as the ROD, for #50, as this was well liked by the community, which I am surprised with too, me on the other hand, I really loved this song. Also, I said there wouldn't be anymore four person collabs... I didn't say I could go higher.

#12. CHASE B/Don Toliver/Quavo/Travis Scott/Ty Dolla $ign - Ring Ring

So this producer is CHASE B. I have never known him before, until I saw Genius with this song releasing soon, and I was like "holy shit, the amount of collaborators on this song are insane as fuck" and when the song released on that week, I was shocked by how it turned out, and I was shocked to know CHASE B was a producer on that song. Anyway, let's get real. CHASE B's production on the song reminds me of Creepin', like many songs do, because the production is very lush, dark, and incredibly cool as well. I really like the dark voices used throughout some parts of the song. The incorporating of some guitar parts in the song work really well too. But what was best in the song were the rappers here. Here, the rappers weren't really rapping, they were actually more through the singing side than the rapping side. Both Don Toliver and Quavo have the longer verses here, and I fairly enjoy both of them quite a bit, with Quavo's verse better than Don's, although his is really great as well. I also really like the chorus here too, it's pretty catchy. Then, Travis Scott comes in, singing as well. He does have more autotune than usual, but that doesn't bother me at all, since he's the rap goat himself. Anyway, the production here are drums pounding down, which sound epic, and Travis sounds awesome on it. Ty Dolla $ign finishes the outro here, and I've liked his voice a lot over the years. He sounded really great here, I love how this song was structured together. I did expect something different though, but I still really love this song. Really cool and awesome song.

#11. Metro Boomin/Future/Chris Brown - Superhero (Heroes & Villains)

Metro Boomin has quite so many appearances here, and this isn't even his final appearance. He's just that awesome, guys. Anyway, this is his 3rd appearance in here, and next year he will have more appearances here too, it's that he is just such a great producer. In this song from HEROES & VILLAINS, Metro Boomin just has such an awesome production here, it just absolutely slaps. I really love how this song transitions in the album, the ending of On Time with John Legend, going into this song, just sounds so awesome, probably the best in-between transitions ever in a song. Now, let's talk about how well the song is structured. Future plays the hero, and he sounds freaking awesome here, he just does his thing in the chorus and his verses, especially the first verse, which contains so much memorable lines, so easy to say, just makes the song insanely memorable in the long run also. His flow here is also really nice here, and while some might not like his voice for different reasons, I personally like how deep his voice sounds with he raps. He has a great accent. Oh, and also Chris Brown is here too, with the villain part of the song. And, controversial opinion here, he sounds good here with the pianos produced. I like his part in the song as well, makes the song complete. Overall, fantastic song put together. But, there are ten more songs to cover on here, which I absolutely loved this year, and had on repeat too. stay tuned!

Okay, so top ten time... I have enjoyed these songs the majority of the time during the year, and you can see how special these songs are to my year of 2023. Starting with...

#10. The Weeknd/Future - Double Fantasy

My god, this song is just so awesome to hear each time. It does feel like I am in a double fantasy when I hear this, it's also one of my gaming jams of the year. And yes, Metro Boomin is involved in the song, making it bound to be such a great song. He teams up with Mike Dean in the production, and the production sounds so wavy, has some really great synth vibes, especially in that freaking awesome intro, just makes it the perfect song to relax your mind out, the production later evolves to include a trap beat, which just sounds freaking awesome here. The melody of the synths are just insanely catchy as well, both producers did such a great job in producing this song. Don't get me started on the saxophones too, they sound so good too, like the song In Your Eyes, the saxophones sounded amazing, and it sounds great here too. And don't forget about the vocals. The Weeknd absolutely sounds amazing here, his vocal range is absolutely impressive in this song. He fits in the vibe of the song so well, it's like he and Metro Boomin are made to work together or something. Future is also here too, which is also really cool since he's one of my favorite rappers this year, his accent does fit in the synth vibe as well also, he delivers a great verse. I'm sad to see this song flop, such a song like this doesn't deserve only six weeks on AT40. If I could, I would make this count for AT40 Small Hits 2023, but only time will tell. Overall, such a vibe to jam to sometimes I feel chill.

This song was just released recently, but I didn't wait until the end to include this one:

#9. J Balvin/USHER/DJ Khaled - Dientes

It is kind of bizzare to see J Balvin on my best list, but alas we are here right now, with this party loop that I have really not gotten tired of at the slightest, despite me listening to this 100 times since release. Anyway, time to talk about how this song is so fun. First off, this song samples Yeah!, which is USHER's, Lil Jon's, and Ludracis's timeless classic, And it is quite obvious that it does throughout the song, and I have been leaning away from samples for a long time, as they have became a bit irritating later on, but this? Hell no. This song is absolutely fun, I could not mind the sample at all. First off, the production is EDM-Reggaeton, leaning more in the EDM side, which just sounds incredibly catchy to me. DJ Khaled did such a great job producing this. I don't mind his yelling, in fact, I embrace his yelling in the intro, which is surprising. I know I am in for a surprise when I hear his yelling. Anyway, the production starts a bit of Reggaeton, then in the chorus, it becomes EDM, which sounds groovy in such a way that I could not imagine. J Balvin sounds great in his verse and he complements the reggaeton and the EDM beat so well. There is this unusual robotic voice in the chorus, just saying "Ensename los dientes, dientes, dientes, dientes" four times in the chorus, which people usually hate robotic voices, but here, it sounds catchy as hell here, especially with that EDM beat that DJ Khaled produced, which sounds so creative and quirky, and also bops so much. USHER also delivers a great second verse here too, he's going back in the party mood of 2011, such a fantastic year of music. Holy shit, that was such a party loop, that I still stream so much. Also, it's a breakout on AT40??? WHAT THE FUCK???

Okay, so this is the last appearance of Dream on here, with this:

#8. Dream - Until I End Up Dead

This song is dedicated to the late Technoblade, who entertained the Minecraft community with this funny moments. He died at 23 years old, to cancer, and Dream felt really heartbroken, and all of Techno's friends and viewers felt the same way, with Techno telling everything about how he loved his life and he had to move on. Technoblade's dad still continues Techno's legacy, and Dream wanted Techno's dad to get involved in the music video for the song too. So, when this released on June 23rd, the music video shows all the memorable moments Dream has with Technoblade, including the MrBeast duel, and many other references. Okay, enough talk about Techno, gotta talk about the song. Dream sounds great in this song, and the production is really catchy, and the chorus is also really catchy. I really like the post-chorus after the second chorus, which is just really cool, having the vocal effects. Just pretty fantastic song all around. Definitely a song you need to play. The reason why this is above Kind Of Love here is because I have enjoyed this song a lot more than I have enjoyed Kind Of Love, its been around longer, and I have been hyping it a lot more. Anyway, yes check this song out.

This is gonna be the final EDM song on here, and the entire top 6 is mostly rap, so I will make this review worth a read:

#7. TheFatRat & Cecilia Gault - Escaping Gravity

Okay, so earlier when you read my post, you have seen TheFatRat's song with Kinnie Lane called Hunger, which was a banger, but this song, the sequel to that song, literally blew me away here. It has blown the house down. Okay, so I need to tell you about the chapters. The first chapter opened with Out Of The Rain with Shiah Mitzel, which is an honorable mention. The second chapter is Hunger, which slaps ass, and the third chapter is this song, the best one yet form the compilation so far, it just keeps me eager for the fourth chapter. I can tell you why this song has been such music to my ears since the start. First off, TheFatRat's production here doesn't have any out-of-place drops than Hunger, and the EDM sound gives more flow throughout the song. And the flow is structured like this: It starts off pretty minimalistic in the first verse, goes throughout the chorus, it then becomes pretty nice and jumpy, like Kygo's older productions, in the post-chorus. The second verse has more production elements to it, makes the song more building-up into greatness. The bridge is especially my favorite part, the production is insanely catchy here, I really like how jumping it is, before settling back to the calm. The final chorus is the last we see of the really nice and lush EDM beat from TheFatRat. The outro is also really beautiful too, has some really nice orchestral strings there, which sound amazing. Oh, and I am not done yet lecturing you with these amazingness. The vocals are done by Cecilia Gault, someone who has collaborated with TheFatRat for quite a few songs, and she sounds amazing here. She nails the first and second verses, I really like her vocals in the chorus, she goes high and low at the same time here, which I really like. And remember how I said the bridge was my favorite part of the song, well, Cecilia just pops that out the most in the song, just makes the bridge like, honestly, fantastic to me. I really like how well this song was structured, I love the production, I love the vocals, just everything about this just makes this song absolutely fantastic. Check this song out if you would like to hear the magic of TheFatRat yourself. His own sound in EDM just makes him my favorite EDM artist ever.

Alright, the final EDM hour has passed. Time to go through a song that I have been enjoying earlier in the year, and flexing on Zestpond with:

#6. Don Toliver/Future/Justin Bieber - Private Landing

Don Toliver hasn't had his first appearance here in a best list, he has appeared here last year with Honest, and then again in this list with Ring Ring. Here he is as the lead artist with other big artists, Future and Justin Bieber. And I need to explain, this song is such a banger. The production is honestly one of the best rap beats I have ever seen this year. It sounds really dark, and has some really nice eerie beats to it as well, A really cool combination of production here. Don Toliver sounds great throughout his chorus, which he has his own really cool falsetto here, which is insanely catchy as hell. His verse is also really fun and catchy as well. And Future is back too! For another time, he has a really nice and fun verse too, there are some insanely memorable lines from his verse, such as "Coppin' a brand new castle in the Middle East" I don't know why I like that line so much, it is fun to say. Oh, and everyone's fav artist, Justin Bieber is here too, and if you listen to this song, I could tell if you don't like his part, he has got a lot of reverb on his voice, but it doesn't bother me, as his part is really catchy as well. Overall, a really dark and light rap song combined by 2 rappers and a pop singer which turned out surprisingly amazing somehow. I don't know how, it was just awesome how this turned out for me. I think this is the last we will hear from Future, oh wait, we will hear him for part of one last song. Out of the three Justin Bieber/Don Toliver collaborations, I would say this is the best one out of them all, and hopefully the duo could make more music together, I like how stuff turned out for them both. Awesome song. The top 5 is underway, my favorite of the year is underway, please tune in and stay hyped!!!

Okay so I forgot to tell you I will be revealing these like in a rankdown. :smerkinpain: Enjoy these for now! THE TOP FIVE WILL BE REVEALED...
